happy easter

We've had much festivities around here.

There was some of this...

And cute pajamas...

And our gorgeous backyard. I give our landlords all the credit, but they claim they do not have a green thumb. Whaa? For FHE last week we talked about plants and flowers, and we went outside and found yellow flowers, white flowers, pink flowers, purple flowers, and red flowers. This yard rocks.

And the Easter Bunny did come. I wonder why we don't build up to this as much as Christmas? Really it's the same concept -- big guy comes to your house after you're asleep to leave candy and assorted fun gift things.

I currently am working on our nice Easter dinner but actually wanting a nap. Hmm. I also have decided to read this talk (and maybe a few others) so I will think about the Savior on this day, which we have because of Him. I am grateful for the Atonement and the Resurrection, and thank goodness I have my family forever. So glad.

Happy Easter! I hope your day has some sunshine, too!

everything is better with chocolate

This weekend was General Conference, and thanks to the Friend magazine and the magical bag of M&Ms in my pantry, Wesley joined me for a few talks on Sunday morning. It was awesome.

(The M&Ms are supposed to be for potty training! We will cross that bridge soon!)

It was really quite fun. When we heard one of the words on the squares, we'd put an M&M on the square and got to eat one, too. When the talk was over we started over. It was great. He listened for words and when we heard them we got really excited.

More on my thoughts on Conference later. My goal is to watch all the sessions and come up with goals for the next 6 months based on the talks. (I still need to watch Saturday afternoon.) LOTS of talks about honoring your children. I really feel like they were just for me, too, since I've been SO STRESSED and it's so easy to just take it on your kids when they won't. put. on. their. dang. shoes. Seriously.

So, thanks to the apostles for humbling me and helping me remember to chill out already.

This gorgeous little lady also made it a wonderful weekend...

LOVE HER.

Why am I stressed you ask? Ummm house closing tomorrow? When it was supposed to close last Tuesday? So yes. Stressed. Our realtor has earned every cent of his commission. Maybe I'll elaborate later.
