tiptoe thru the tulips

It's that time of year again. I love Spring, and spring in the Northwest is just lovely. Grandma Gottula was in town and we took the opportunity after school to head up to the tulips. Wesley was a little crazy and wanted to play more than take pictures, but we got some winners. (When I was tucking him into bed I asked his favorite and least favorite parts of the tulips... favorite: eating popcorn. least favorite: taking pictures. Haha.)

First... stopping to smell the flowers...

Some love in the fields...

Individual shots...

Ahh mud puddles...

Beautiful girl, and her momma...

Selfie!

Aha, got you too Wesley...

Exploring with Grandma...

KETTLE CORN!

Yes, this is what Wesley did for most of the time we were there...

She liked reading the signs, "If you are not a tulip..."

We found the frog!

More smiles...

And more love...

Plus there was some nose picking...

Although Laurel and I consistently looked good!

AND then we were done. There was a minor meltdown and we made our exit.

You know, the tulips don't really change each year... but the kids do.

2010...

2011... the year I was pregnant with Laurel, and we took Grandma & Grandpa Twining...

2013... the first time both kids were there together...

So beautiful.
