Hello blog world! Am I alive? Yes I am alive!
I have lots of things to post. This was always my online journal so I've been slacking. I guess Instagram is the new online journal. But some things need to go somewhere, so I'll try to do some more frequent postings.
In May, my handsome Wesley turned 8!! That's a big deal.
We threw him a party at Elevated Sportz, a trampoline park. We looooove this place.
Wesley was able to invite eight friends since he is eight years old. I invited several siblings of those friends to come, too, the siblings we see a lot. He was surrounded by awesomeness.
He is really into trains, this hasn't changed in like six years. Thank you Pinterest for a great railroad train cake idea!
The place supplied the pizza, cups, beverages, and more...
The gifts were awesome! Our friends are super thoughtful. Legos, a camping set, games, a tornado maker! I'm the boring mom who gave him underwear (he didn't have to open in front of his friends, though).
Happy birthday, cute boy.
After cake they kids got to do a laser maze. There were some technical difficulties, which was totally to our advantage. The kids were only supposed to do it once, but they let us go multiple times. PLUS it was helpful to have the party on a Thursday night! It was his exact birthday, but almost everyone we invited could come and the place was deserted! It was fabulous! We had it all to ourselves. Everyone had a great great time.
Silly faces!
I was most proud of the party favors.... another nod to Pinterest... they are trains!! I love them! I have like five left over if anyone wants one.

I love my little Wesley! He is spirited and defiant and goofy. He is sweet and sensitive and creative. His eyes are so beautiful and his smile lights up my life. I am grateful to be his mother and it was wonderful to celebrate him. Oh, and if anyone is wondering, YES, Wesley is planning to be baptized in August! I left it up to him. He called his Grandpa the other day to ask if Grandpa will baptize him. August 20 it is!
What a wonderful day to celebrate.
