The biggest excitement about this event was actually the lack of something....
The answer is: people. NO PEOPLE. NO LINES. It was awesome. Last year I think we went on like December 21 so this was muuuuuch better. No pictures of them talking to the actual bearded Santa, since the elves there give you the stinkeye and want you to purchase their $20 photos. No thanks.
The kids both asked Santa for a cat stuffed animal. They are currently obsessed with cats, since their dad got a cat at his house.
Then.... we took a quick look into Build-A-Bear, which is where Laurel's birthday party will be next week, and magically they have cats.... and they both said how they both want the same cat. Oh geez. So basically, if they get a stuffed cat for the birthday party then the Santa wish is null & void and I can just get them whatever I want. (The truth is, Santa and I have discussed this and our family is getting a new iPad and computer for Christmas. It's a done deal. We all get stockings and that's it.)
Of course a visit to the mall also includes a visit to the Lego store (where I bought nothing, and ran into not one, not two, not three, but FOUR PEOPLE I knew) and the escalators.
They love riding the escalators.
Today's Jesus Christ name was: Comforter. We had a nice talk about that, how the Holy Ghost is a Comforter but Jesus Christ can be a Comforter too.
