Here's how I organize my advent. I have a word doc with all my activity ideas, past, present, and future. Sometime in November I pull up my December calendar and then plan out what we can do when. And when the day is already super scheduled, I plan something easy. On a day like today (gymnastics, preschool, work meeting, Cub Scouts), I knew I could never fit in something like "bake cookies."
So instead, today, all we did was wear festive clothes. I had to do Wesley's laundry at 2AM last night but dangit he had a red shirt. I asked Laurel if I should wear red or green and she said green.
I think we look awesome.
I even wore Christmas ornament earrings and Laurel loved them. Her pants are red velvet, by the way, bummer you can't see them.
Jesus ornament today: Savior. Perfect.
